Tour Confirmation
Confirmation of tour bookings is on payment of 50% deposit or full payment.
Upon receiving this, we will confirm the departure date, tour details and advice for tour preparation.

Deposit and Payment
• Payment can be made on the secure online booking payment page using Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, mailing a cheque or making a deposit into our bank account.
• The outstanding balance must be paid at the start of the tour.
• All charges are in New Zealand dollars.


Cancellation Fees
• Cancellation up to 21 days prior to departure, a full 100% refund.
• Cancellation between 21 and 7 days before departure, deposit 50% is refunded.
• Cancellation less than seven days prior to departure, no refund.

Personal Insurance
Personal travel medical insurance is recommended.

Damage Liability
• Clients will be liable for any damages to motorcycles, quad bikes and equipment and any property damage at the discretion of Adventure Trailrides Ltd.
• Clients will be required to produce valid credit card details before all tours in the event of damages occurring, which will be charged to the client.
• Damage to motorcycles or quad bikes is not a regular occurrence, but clients must take note.


Damage Defined
Protective clothing, motorcycle or quad bike are physically broken, fractured, torn, ruptured, bent, unstraightenable, impaired, or impaired.

Tour Agreement & Indemnity
To be completed at the start of the tour.

Itinerary
It may change with seasonal weather and farm requirements. We operate an environmental policy that protects New Zealand’s natural heritage.

Client Responsibilities
• The client will be liable for any damages to motorcycles, quad bikes and equipment.
• The client agrees to follow all guide instructions.
• All clients are to be free of the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
• Will maintain appropriate speed limits and Motorcycle /Quad Bike control.
• Clients under the age of 17 must have a parent or guardian present at all times during a tour.
• Clients know that Adventure Trailrides Ltd motorcycle and quad biking off-road tours are physically demanding.
• The client acknowledges that the guide has the right to determine if the client can advance based on the client’s competency level.

Failure to comply with any of the above will result in immediate termination of the tour with no refund. In addition, clients will be liable to cover loss of earnings, damage to Motorcycles, Quad bikes and Equipment and/or any property damage at the discretion of Adventure Trailrides Ltd.

Risk Acknowledgment
I understand that there are risks associated with outdoor activities, such as adverse weather changes, challenging terrain and falling off or crashing a quadbike or dirtbike, which can cause fatal injuries.

I am aware that Adventure Trailrides Ltd employees will take all reasonable steps to manage these risks to an acceptable level.
At any time during the activity, I understand I am free to make my own decision on my level of involvement.

Suppose Adventure Trailrides Ltd employees have taken all reasonable safety precautions and provided clear instructions on the hazards, procedures and the activity, and I choose to act outside this advice. In that case, I accept I do so at my own risk and am personally responsible for any consequences. I am responsible for ensuring that my actions or inactions do not jeopardise the safety of others.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES & UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS
I accept that this activity inherently involves risks and potential hazards. The risks and hazards include, but are not limited to:
Adverse Weather changes, Challenging Terrain, Rolling or Flipping the ATV or motorcycle, Hitting Obstacles (such as trees, rocks, erosion ruts, embankments, animals or other atv’s or motorcycles) or being hit by other riders, falling off the ATV or motorcycle and equipment failure. I am aware that participating in the ATV and motorcycle activities offered by Adventure Trailrides Limited can be hazardous if they are not conducted with care, control and responsibility. I acknowledge that these risks could result in my injury (physical or mental) or even death.

Medication/health conditions
• I have informed the staff of Adventure Trailrides Limited (or will, prior to undertaking the activity) of any medical conditions, previous injuries and any medication I am currently taking which may affect my ability to undertake the activity.
• I confirm I am physically fit and able to participate in the activities and I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.
• I consent to receive any medical treatment that may be deemed necessary by Adventure Trailrides Limited in the event of injury, accident or illness while undertaking the activities.
• I understand it is my responsibility to disclose any conditions (health or otherwise) that may affect the safety and enjoyment of myself and those around me.

Conditions of participating in activity
• I agree to ride with care, and obey the rules set out by Adventure Trailrides Limited and instructions given by the guide (or a representative of Adventure Trailrides Limited), at all times.
• I agree that clients under the age of 17 years must have a parent or guardian present participating with them at all times.
• I accept that if I do not adhere to the instructions and rules, or if I act dangerously, recklessly or in a way that might endanger myself or others, AdventureTrailrides Limited may remove me from the activity. If this occurs, I acknowledge I will not receive a refund.
• I accept that Adventure trailrides Limited reserves the right to cancel this activity if it becomes concerned for my safety, or the safety of another person.
• I agree to wear appropriate clothing and use/wear all safety clothing and equipment (as required by the guide) at all times when participating.

Limited liability of Adventure Trailrides Limited
• I understand that if I act recklessly or intentionally, and don’t follow the rules or instructions set out by Adventure Trailrides Limited and the guide, which I have been made aware of, Adventure Trailrides Limited will not be held responsible for any injury, damage or loss I cause to myself/my property, or another person/their property, resulting
from my action (or lack of action).

Liability of landowner
• I agree that the owner(s) of the land on which the activity is conducted will not be held responsible for any death, injury, misadventure, damage to or loss of property caused in whole or part by these activities.

Damage to property or equipment
• In the event that I damage any of the clothing or equipment, or other property owned by Adventure Trailrides Limited or a landowner, I agree to pay to Adventure Trailrides Limited (or the landowner) all costs associated with repairing the damage.

Drugs/Alcohol
• I confirm I am not under the influence of intoxicating alcohol or drugs (be they legal or illegal) which may in any way impair my ability to undertake the activity.

Marketing
• I give Adventure Trailrides Limited permission to send me emails and/or post relating to Adventure Trailrides Limited events and promotions, as well as the right to use all photos and videos of me taken during the activity for promotional and social media purposes.

PARTICIPANT SIGN-OFF
I agree that by signing this ‘Understanding the Risks form’:
1. I accept there are inherent risks and hazards associated with participating in the activity and I understand what these risks are (including serious harm and death);
2. I am physically and mentally fit to participate and there is nothing I am aware of that will affect my ability to safely drive the vehicle, or impact the safety of other riders.
3. I wish to proceed with the activity at my own risk.
